$1950 Estacada Library Renaissance Fair and Teen Scene summer workshops.
This grant and funds from other resources, enabled our local library to create and plan wonderful summer programs. This years activities included a story festival to kick-off the summer's programs, a summer long reading program for children to participate, nine weeks of each a children's Thursday program and of a Friday Teen Scene program, which included a portion on careers. The Renaissance Feast & Fair utilized 75 teen volunteers who assisted with creating, organizing and producing this delight for children and families who attend.
$1575 Grant to the Estacada Family Resource Center (ECRF) remodeling.
This grant and funds from other resources, enabled the ECRF to extensively remodel the resource center. The remodeling involved installing new carpet, a new ceiling, and new shelves. Operated completely by a volunteer staff, the center serves as the food bank for Estacada and neighboring rural areas. The EFRC is the only source of emergency food supplies for the Estacada area and distributes approximately 100 tons of food each year.
